Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the "staff" system and the "student study log?"

A: The student system helps members of Greek organizations track their hours spent studying in the library, and serves as a replacement for the 3-ring binders formerly used. The staff systems allows the Access Librarian and her staff to update and maintain information about Greek organizations, and add and remove staff users.

Q: What is a "cookie"? Why do I need it?

A: It is a piece of information in text format that is downloaded to your computer when you visit a web site. Cookies are necessary to allow web sites and their servers to keep track of who is visiting their web site, and what their preferences are. For this system, a cookie is used to prevent unauthorized individuals or groups from logging-in to the system.

Q: Why can't students log in from their own computers?

A: Access has been restricted to the touch-screen computer at the Circulation Desk in order to replicate the process of signing-in using the 3-ring binders that preceded this application.

Q: How can I report problems?

A: You can click here or you can click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to report a problem.

Q: What is the purpose of this system?

A: The "Staff" system is where staff or studnet workers will be able to report problems with the system, print reports of student study sessions, add new and update greek organizations, and help students with problems.
